I agree with your other points but this ones a bit straw clutchy tbh

1. we already have a playmaker that would get into any side outside of the top 6
2. getting into any side outside of the top 6 isn't really that ambitious given we are already the best club outside of the top 6

Then surely, possibly having two of those would be better?

If we for example went for/got Mata, who I think we could agree is a better player than Sig, then would you not be happy, as if he was available it would be because he couldn't get in a top six side?

Same with MS.

He couldn't get a look-in at Utd yet is comfortably our best player after Rom and is helping us make the step up in quality we need.

The Pickford thing has come from Sunderland's side - Percy is reliable as a journo but doesn't have much links to Everton.

Sandro has been spotted with Walsh and Walsh and RK have met with his agent and watched him.

Klaassen has come mainly from the Dutch side as well.

So, i.e., none of the rumours about the above players have come from Everton's side.

Pardon? Maybe I missed something in the convo or just mis-read his post but I thought he was asking if the general pessimistic nature to what the club does is "the Everton way". He may have been replying to a post I can't see. /shrug

Possibly has a release clause, seems his agent is pretty shrewd, which is how we got him. Perhaps he had one in the contract he signed with us eg he can leave if we don't qualify fo C.L. and a team who did come in for him. And he did impress Chelsea at G.P.
Everton don't do release clause, not since fluffy head

Yes, you are right to add that last provision. But what I have found is that there are a lot of GOT members who are empathetic to the plight of the 'transfer window anguished' .
When one of us stumbles, assistance up and a helpful shoulder to lean on is always at hand.

Evertonians are special people. If the world was all Evertonians, we would exist in Utopia
This forum can go from sheer excitement to utter devastation in 2 pages just by 1 jarg twitter post

you are not wrong mate. I myself have fallen victim to such vicissitude of emotion. In 'normal' life I consider myself a rational balanced person, but in here....
In recent years we had the Yano on and off saga. We had the Arteta not leaving/leaving we had years of ....o god what was his name(Moyes era, midfielder I think).....can't remember. Really high point was Rom on loan, that was a good one.

Strange how we can go from the greatest team in the world on one page to worse then West Ham on the next

Could we work out a standard pricing system for players?

Eg:

- 2 million per goal. 1 million per save.

Would that work out?

Our esteemed GOT comrade @matty1878 accurately diagnosed the Evertonian propensity to so capriciously switch from 'boom to gloom'as a bi polarity disorder.

Eating healthily and getting plenty of sun (vitamin D) are seen as being very important, as is exercise, and taking enforced breaks from the forum (esp the Transfer thread)
