If Niang was to play, say, the Valencia role this season, then that may be ok. But for £15m that seems a bit steep.

Wonder how often people claiming Niang is awful have actually watched him play hmm. Avid Watford fans? Since most writing him off have outwardly said they don't watch much European footie.

Watford are, nominally, my 2nd team, so I see a fair bit of them

My father-in-law is a Watford season ticket holder

We are unanimous in our opinion about him - decent crosser, can deliver well with both feet, terrible attitude, doesn't work hard enough, one good game in about ten. Makes Mirallas look consistent

Seen much less of him for Milan TBF, but not really been impressed when I have seen him in glimpses there either

He is a complete wild-card in every sense of the word. The talent is obviously there and he is still young. I still question his attitude a bit and wonder if Koeman will put up with him. I cannot write him off though as he has had some pretty impressive performances during his stint at Milan.

I'd only entertain the idea of him coming here if Rom was staying and Niang would have a pure impact sub role. He had some really good games for Watford early into his spell and looked like he generally had something to offer but went completely cold very quickly.

He's a striker who over the last 5 seasons has played for 5 clubs and never managed more than 5 goals in any season mate

He also turned us down to go to Milan in the first place

He also flopped horribly at Watford this season

He has a reported widely attitude problem

He's got a 18 month suspended sentence for crashing his Ferrari into parked cars and a tree

He was banned by the French FA for breaking international rules on curfew and going to a nightclub during international duty.

There is also some serious questions about how old he actually is as well, don't know many 5'9 - 13 year olds like

WIKI is boss!

..I look at Niang with a view to our woeful away performances. He's big, strong and direct. He might fit the model RK wants, especially on the counter attack.

I see him as a poor man's Bolasie

I guess I understand the logic (assuming we also have a big man striker), but I was hoping we would be aiming way, way higher than him

Unless Steve Walsh sees something I don't

If he has an attitude problem, he won't be any use in away games. We need a terrier up front.

on his day geri is an absolutely cracking player... is niang?
Also, whether on his day or not Deulofeu hardly tracks back at all and can be bullied physically any time a fullback is up to it.

If you haven't noticed we're targeting people like Bolaise, Arnautovic, apparently Niang although it's paper talk for those outside attacking positions (whatever you want to call them, wingers/wide forwards).

I know we all have our own thoughts as to how we should play and who should be in but Koeman wants people who can finesse it in at times but also bring the battering ram if need be.
