Summer Transfer Window 2017

For all of the fume last week, this week has certainly not been dull.

The interesting thing is there is still no real indication of a replacement for Rom. Either the club are keeping it well under wraps or they still have hope of convincing him to stay.

Wales Online just published a story saying we might be prepared to go to £40m for Sigurdsson!

There are even suggestions that Everton would be willing to match Swansea’s minimum price tag of £40m – set after the club blocked Everton advances last summer as well as renewed interest in the January window. Inquiries over £30m-plus admiration from China were also rebuffed in the winter.

Is right mate, even if we are loaded.
I read that we had a bid for Balde of Lazio accepted but the player turned us down.
Maybe the tour of Milan was a smokescreen for bids on other players in the Italian league and to secure the sale of Gerri?
Who knows?
Balde wants juventus apparently, but they are after Douglas costa.
I would rather us go for Perez, as a wide Striker option.

Haven't seen much of niang, and if the off field issues are true, then That goes against what Walsh wants in a player.

But we need two cbs. Really don't trust mori

I liked him at 1st and just put his erratic behaviour down to finding his feet and having a manager who doesnt 'do' defending when it comes to training. But ive seen no signs of improvement!
I want Keane and Williams 1st choice pairing for next season and bring in a young centre half to groom into playing alongside Keane!

Wow.

Koeman comes in and goes after banega and niang. He gets us back into Europe as best of the rest and he likes his defence first.

Seems familiar somehow.

For M'Baye Niang, Arsene Wenger rated him so high. Before Niang made his debut for Watford he said

"He’s a very talented striker individually, and he can create chances. He’s very strong as well physically, and very quick.... He's on loan from AC Milan and we have to keep him quiet because he’s a guy who can do something special."

For a 22 year old young player, I think that he hasn't reach his high and can improve to be a world class player under a good coach. Don't forget that Steve Walsh has traced him for a long time before he become our DoF.

Remember Arsene Wenger also rated Bakayoko very highly too and apparently recommended him to us.

Beware of French men bearing gifts ;)

Wonder how often people claiming Niang is awful have actually watched him play hmm. Avid Watford fans? Since most writing him off have outwardly said they don't watch much European footie.
You don't have to be an avid Watford or Milan fan to be able to form an opinion mate

I just can't see these Niang rumours being true. Although talented he's hardly set the world alight at Milan and neither did he do it in the premiership with Watford. Furthermore Walsh increasingly talks about players having the right character and attitude before he signs them. Niang has neither.

Clubs aren't stupid they know we have the Lukaku money on the way £70-100 mil plus TV money so we are going to have to pay top dollar for people we want, don't worry to much about price tags
