All the time you hear koeman banging on about playing at a high tempo and pressing the opposition.
McCarthy and Besic struggled with injury in the slow ponderous football served up by Martinez. I just don't think physically their bodies can with standard the rigorous high tempo football koeman craves. Like you, I feel both could be moved on.
...such comment will not go down well with the likes of @davek and his davek-lite (and equally clueless) side-kick@mkrudden.
In the interest of harmonious forum, might I suggest avoiding in future such polarising talk.

#Karanka and Puel are great managers....

...but Bobby was phenomenal

lol lol

...Friday's rumour round-up;

- Football London reports Everton are leading Spurs and Liverpool in the race to sign Burnley defender Michael Keane.

- Forza Italian suggests M'Baye Niang is set to join Everton from AC Milan. Calciomercato say the deal is worth 18m Euros and could be complete by Friday. The Echo report the player was in Liverpool yesterday for a medical ahead of a £16m move. The Daily Star suggest Arsenal are looking to scupper the move.

- According to Foot Mercato, Everton and Newcastle are interested in Valencia defender Aymen Abdennour.

- 4th Official say Everton are considering a move for Chris Smalling from Manchester United.

- Italian outlet, Tutto Mercato, report Everton target Marcelo Brozovic has turned down an approach from Zenit.

- The Sheffield Telegraph say Everton are still keeping tabs on Sheffield Wednesday youngster George Hirst despite having a bid turned down in January.

- 4th Official suggest Everton is a likely destination for Samir Nasri who has had a successful season at Sevilla.

- Tutto Mercato report Juventus met with an Everton intermediary regarding Mario Lemina. Roma and Valencia lead the race for the players signature whilst Arsenal are also interested. However, Ed Aaron's of the Guardian says Everton are not interested in Lemina.

- Tuttomercatoweb suggest Everton and Brighton are considering a move for AC Milan striker Lapadula, although Brighton are baulking at the £17.5m asking price.

Christ 4th officials posts are utter sewage. Hopefully chatting wham (likely)

If Lukaku does go and it looks as if Conte is putting it up to the Chelsea board to stump up the cash , but if Lukaku does go do people think he'll go for a similar type of player ? I've seen Bony name mentioned , personally I'd love to see Benteke come in . What you reckon blues !!Loving GOT .

I am ceaselessly surprised by the diarrhoea (ambiguously) spewed by multifarious, and impossibly brain-dead, alternative media.
But, I love being surprised; ergo I love the transfer window media reporting.

But hasn't the last wee while been exciting lads...

Koeman does like a 'target man' in his system. I too, really think Benteke would flourish at Everton especially as the focal point in a front three with sandro and siguardsson either side of him. He'd score 15+ goals no problem with the service he'd receive from those 2.

Wouldn't suprise me if we have an agreement in place with Chelsea that they sign Lukaku after we've managed to get our main targets, mainly as not to inflate prices even further. I just hope we use whatever we get for him to spend big on another marquee signing.
Still, encouraging signs getting these players in nice and early.
