These two signings will make it easier to attract other targets to the club.
Last season we were just not able to convince the high profile targets that Everton were a club worth going to , these transfers and the money involved will have everybody sitting up and taking notice.

Do you know, I don't think it is.

What clowns Everton are. Fancy splurging a fortune on new players and before the window has even opened – talk about a fool and his money being soon parted!

The sensible thing to do is to out-wait the opposition, then pounce at the death and force an ultimatum deal.

It has the rabid, excitable nature of satire but none if it's ironic humour.

I think the 'interest' is similar to the Mata 'deal' from last summer. There was a report with no substance, people who want him have hyped it up to no end - I was guilty of this - and people have built up the interest themselves.

Add in other reports with no substance, Twitter and Facebook being full of jarg ITK's and then odds being offered on it and you have yourself a transfer rumour.

Now I could be wrong but this is what I believe.

Would love us to go get either Mertens or Bernardeschi for that role, sadly think zero chance of either though

yep, the 3rd most expensive keeper ever and taking the captain from a bigger and better team in europe right now is a good statement. Of course, it won't shake up the likes of real madrid and bayern, but even the most deluded wouldn't have expected that. There are plenty of quality players though on the fringes of those bigger clubs and europa league regulars who will take notice.
