...Saturday mornings gossip;

- Sportitalia report Everton have identified Napoli owned striker Duvan Zapata as the heir to Romeu Lukaku. The Partenopei want 20m euros for the 26 year old who has been on loan at Udinese for the last two seasons. 4th Official quote the same report.

- The Daily Mail say Everton are interested in Arsenal defender Calum Chambers and will make a £15m bid if they fail to land Michael Keane.

- Foot Mercato suggest Everton have turned down the chance to sign M'Baye Niang. The Toffee's consider the player too unreliable and too inconsistent. A deal was never close. The Daily Star, however, say Everton are closing in on a deal for Niang.

- Calciomercato report Arsenal have joined Everton in trying to sign Mario Lemina from Juventus.

- Walesonline suggest Everton are still interested in Gylfi Sigurdsson and could pay £40m for the player.

- Foot Mercato say Everton are watching Valencia defender Aymen Abdennour. The French outlet report, though, that the player is not Everton's no1 defensive target.

Ronald Koeman played for a season or so with Gheorge Hagi at Barcelona. His son is signed up with Fiorentina. Ianis Hagi.

We should really snap him up asap for our U-23 squad with the aim of getting him the team. Carlos Jacomuzzi said we'd be meeting with Fiorentina and this kid should be on the agenda. Only made two first-team appearances.

Check out the first video when he's 15 or younger but scoring 30-yard goals with both feet.

Check out his touch, nutmegs, and passing in the second video.

We could get him for £4m IMO.

I'm too shy to ask Koeman to sign him on twitter, but maybe someone else can? Hopefully Steve Walsh is aware of him.

I loved watching his dad play. If he plays anything like him I would love to see him at Everton.

A
I don't see why we don't get Keane and Chambers, if we are binning off Mori and Jags.

We would then have Chambers & Keane, with Williams and Holgate as back up, its a long season we need the players.

Chambers would be a mistake. He is a player caught between positions. Does not look commanding enough to be a CB or mobile enough to be a RB. Little bit like with Holgate

Why would we bother with chambers, when we already have 2 young centre backs part of the same England under 21 squad.
Galloway out injured.

Zapata's record hardly marks him out as a successor to Lukaku. Would be a second string striker at best, as the quoted price suggests.

Lemina - why yet another central midfielder ? Surely it's creative attacking players that we need.

Niang - what the French papers are saying. I reckon we're not interested.

Chambers - the Daily Mail article says "Everton boss Ronald Koeman is still hopeful of signing centre-back Keane, but is not prepared to pay over-the-odds for the 24-year-old who has only one year left on his contract at Burnley"

20 million would be about right for Keane but are burnley asking for silly money

Interesting Pickford has come through the leagues on loans and then done well for Sunderland. A few very positive comments on his desire to win.

Klaassen was Ajax captain at 22...massive desire to win.

Then...

Keane...sold by United to Burnley and one of their 'leaders' who apparently fought very hard to get to the top.

Sandro...left Barca as he wanted games and has shown himself to be a top player last season with Malaga.

All players who want to win...great mentality and it seems that Schneiderlin and Gana are the same with Lookman and Bolasie also working their way up the leagues.

Could be the focus of our transfer dealings...going for determined winners.

Excellent post Zat, looking at winners, future is very positive

I think Chambers is a very good prospect, look at how good Middlesbrough were at the back last season.....well they conceded a lot less than Sunderland and we've taken there goalkeeper!
