If Lukaku goes for £80m and Ross for £25m I can see our net spend only being about £25-50m bearing in mind that we have also got money in from other departures already.

some of them are absolutely deluded wtf
Don't want to sound arrogant, but what on earth makes them think that Stoke should or could operate on the same level as Everton? Same as with Soton, Leicester and West Ham. We're an indifinetely bigger club than them with loads more of potential to challenge the big boys and a history to back that up. Where we've been underperforming ,or better said ran extremely poorly, for years, decennia even, they're just a modern age Premiership teams who just happened to get lucky at a time were the money was plenty. There are a lot of clubs in the Championship that are a lot bigger than the likes of Stoke , Leicester, Soton and West Ham.

Exactly.

The way some talk they'd have is run like the Leeds of yesteryear.

Football is a business, if you can improve your team and make money then your doing it right.

We've paid off all our loans too recently haven't we? So there's lots going on we can be very happy about regardless of player sales. When was the last time we were forced to sell someone who genuinely didn't mind staying at our club? Just for the money?

The only players we sell are ones that want out.

Thanks. I think if a player is 26 and still playing in a smaller league it tells you something. Slight question mark over Klassan also in this respect
Any player we sign from another league, well there is always that element of risk. Even world class players like veron and di Maria couldn't adapt to the Premiership. You just hope are scouting network has seen something in klassen that they think he can adapt, but he is only 24 (not 26) so maybe time is on his side to adapt.
