Summer Transfer Window 2017

and judging by how happy they are to wish Klassen good luck, they are more than happy to see there players move on to a different league

It's a weird mentality, they tend to see a move for one of their home grown players as a good thing if they go to a higher level of competition - one of the big leagues etc.

Suppose it spreads the brand of Ajax and continues the story of their clubs academy being amongst the greatest etc

I watched Celtic quite a lot last season, and the lad looks different class in that league. Some of his touches are unreal. Whether that would transfer to the PL I don't know, but there's much bigger gambles from further afield.

Let's not be daft.

Whilst not completely dismissing Dembele , To partially agree with the posters overall sentiment dembele scored 17 in 29 in the league . Lewis moult whose former clubs included Alfreton and Nuneaton got 15 in 31 at a badly struggling Motherwell side .

It's a very very poor league and he's playing in the best side by some distance , as has been said Scott Sinclair looks a superstar .

Dembele might be a player but it'd be a risk and certainly at that price .

Nah, if you sign a player of that potential (and already a very good quality) he plays in his proper position.

But we don't have to worry about it. He's not coming here, this summer, at least ;)

Get Sandro in, and he's a player that fills two roles (wide forward and central). Kev is then a rotation option for the wide forward role.

Presuming Lukaku goes, we still need a player who can act as our target man (links to Jorgensen, Willian Jose etc) and then a player who is more of a poacher to rotate as well.

That is basing it on the Koeman template that me and @MorgsGoat like to use that his front three (in either a 4-3-3, a variant thereof, or a 3-4-3) contains a 'focal point' and then a player who has pace to burn on one flank and a bit of creativity on the other (ideally, this will be Barkley. If he goes, probably Sigurdsson). We then obviously have Bolasie to consider when he comes back into the fold, while Lookman and DCL will also get plenty of minutes.

I think we could get Dolberg. Klaassen is here now and I think he's fine to stay at Ajax and develop but also would be open to Koeman.

His comments about staying were then dismissed by him a few days later, hes basically said hes happy there but not discounting anything.

Honestly, if its a choice of the feyenoord forward or a potentially world class player for a bit more cash then the choice seems obvious to me

People were saying the same of van Dijk - crap league and it will be a gamble...

It is this which has me in two minds

There are obviously some potentially good players in Scotland, but how do you know when taking a gamble is worth it

Demebele looks good, but worth a punt at about £40m? I just don't know. That's a fair chunk of cash, even in the heady Moshiri days
