strangely though, Janssen i reckoned could have done well had he gone to a team like Saints etc who would have given him minutes and persisted with him, at Spurs he's never had a chance to settle and find any type of form so the added pace of the league is made worse by him trying so hard to impress and he just looks terrible as a result

I think you are right Dave in that it's not a top league, Kurt scored a lot of goals last season for example. However I think you have to look at the profile of the league too? It's mainly made up of lads up to the age of 22. So maybe it's not so much a poor league but a league for younger players. If you haven't been sold by 21-22 then there should be some question marks (and yes they do exist for Klaasen even at 24! ).

I'm not entirely sure on Dolberg. Ajax players seem to go either way, Vertongen, Alderweireld, Eriksen on the one hand with Fischer, Anderson etc on the other. I worry about lack of pace. I'd rather have Dembele who has the physicality for the league, or Abrahams/Iheanacho.

I agree. Dutch players of that age need to go to another club first and prove themselves. I know there's the danger then that others come in for them, but better that risk than spend all kinds on a hope that doesn't work out.

Hes been given limited chances, but hasnt take any of them, the lad is struggling, as you say, maybe a move elsewhere would have done him much better. His finishing looked top class, but over here he just looks terrible, big season for the boy coming up.

30 goals doesn't count for much these days in the SPL (big chunk of them were penalties)
So there's still a huge risk considering the fee Celtic would want.

Bench is a bit weak, needs another proper decent striker.

Shift Sandro up top if needed and add Lookman, Bolasie, or Mirallas. I'd like another option, sure. I'd also like a proper left back to spell/ultimately replace Baines. I don't see that for this window. First team would be pretty much done though.

Great to see two Perennial Weasels emerging for another season of Summerwatch. As key members of the ecosystem with a track record, they are due some well-deserved bonus points.

Sandro's non-signing is causing problems, as we can't make anyone a proper @themole10 ITK magic yet.

Some early season signings have sent the Weasels into a furious mating storm. Just look at that list.
