Since mourinho has apparently said Luke Shaw's career's over at United I reckon we should look at him, he's still young, and I really rated him before his injury, plus Baines isn't getting any younger

Swerve Shaw. Firstly he's not even very good and was always overrated IMO. Secondly his attitude and professionalism has been called in to question more than once and you can tell just by looking at him.
He's overweight and very rarely plays more than a couple of games before breaking down with an injury.
Massive swerve for me. Rather target Robertson from Hull and try and do a deal involving Niasse if they stay up, or straight cash if they go down.

Keane, Robertson and... Chambers? he's had a good season at boro, young and versatile (rb and cb). could probably get him for in and around 15 million

Not a bad shout, though think perhaps we should be aiming for the 'step above' Chambers, as I think Holgate is just as good at RB as he is.
Robertson I like. Would be glad if we brought him in.
Keane is superb and only going to get better. In an ideal world, him and Virgil would be brilliant.

After the derby a massive clear out needed in the summer. Was so bad I actually sat there and done this:
Stekelenberg, Jagielka, McCarthy, lennon, Valencia, mcgeady, kone, Delboy, besic, tarashaj, niasse, cleverly and maybe Mirallas could all be available for sale.
In terms of incoming signings, it seems we may be after pickford, keane, gylfi and rooney.
Leaves us with a decent 15 or so, plus the kids like Galloway, walsh, dowell, lookman and lewin.

centre back is definitely the most urgent position to fill, and keane should be our top target. van dijk would be amazing as well but that massive price tag kinda puts me off and much bigger clubs across europe will be in for him. that said, he'd be much less of a risk than any of the trendy cb's around europe (gimenez, koulibaly, sule, etc) as he is proven in the premiership. we've seen stuff like with mustafi who was dominating la liga and was heralded as arsenal's defensive savior and you can hardly say he's taken to the premiership, can you?
In fairness Mustafi didn't have a good time of it in LaLiga really. He did well when he first came in to Arsenal but has looked shaky since the turn of the year.
Sule would've been a great addition IMO as he's exactly what we need (and wouldn't cost what VVD would) but unfortunately he's off to Bayern.
But yeh, in principle we've seen that VVD can perform brilliantly at this level and would be ideal for our side.
Keane though I think should be the priority as he's the more realistic of the two.

One thing we need to do differently this summer, is not wait until late in the summer before starting our business! We've done that for as long as I can remember and is probably done to save wages on expensive signings.
So much to do this summer though both in and out so that needs to change and we should be looking to bring in our top targets as soon as the season ends.
If that means paying their wages all summer then so be it. The likes of Keane will be in demand so strike early and catch the others cold.

Priority should be the likes of keane and siggurdson, if we chase vvd, mertens etc then when/if we miss out it'll probably be too late to get the others, get those sorted then try to get the bigger targets.
