I suppose in the current window that'd be true for those two players but the why would it not be true for Rom? In a time of transfers when a dabbing Carlton Cole (Pogba) goes for 89m (over 100m including agent fees) why is it so hard to accept that maybe Lukaku is worth what we're asking for, a striker who assisted and scored 30 league goals at the age of 24 and has steadily improved.

Disagree with Morata, hit and miss that lad, the clubs he's been at hypes him more. Aubameyeng is 28 and a player that relies on pace, so has maybe 2 or 3 seasons at the level he's at you'd imagine. Lacazette is 2 years older than Rom and is nailed on for athletico in Jan according to media outlets etc. So I dunno, is there really better for less? Rom is also premier league proven, no risk in that sense.

Well Mike, the true weasels are out there, in the twitter universe, those are the real dangers of our time, with the "im hearing" and "my sources tell me", but we cant rid the whole internet of weasels, we simply dont have the cages.

We are not getting our asking price for starters we may be lucky to get 80-90 mil.

In a window where a young goalkeeper in the championship is worth 30 mil then yeah batshuayi and fabregas would probably be valued at 30-40 mil each

The simple response to us not getting our asking price is simple. No sale.

Morata is going to go to one of Chelsea and ManU one would think. Can Chelsea convince Costa to go to China? Even if they do, pay up boys and give us Batsuhayi and we'll have enough cash to get Koulibaly and another striker like Willian Jose or maybe even Dolberg. Sell Barkley, McCarthy, a few others, sign Keane & Sigurdsson, and look out.

Thoughts:

Great to see two Perennial Weasels emerging for another season of Summerwatch. As key members of the ecosystem with a track record, they are due some well-deserved bonus points.

Sandro's non-signing is causing problems, as we can't make anyone a proper @themole10 ITK magic yet.

Some early season signings have sent the Weasels into a furious mating storm. Just look at that list.

I personally dont think that Sandro and Keane wont happen, for no other reason than we have been linked with them too long and experience has shown us that this usually ends badly! The good thing is for me, that with the acquisition of Pickford, we no longer need to be too concerned about ball playing centre halves! Pickford can handle all the distribution from defence himself, all we need at the back now are centre halves who stop attacks and crosses, and there are lots like that. Similarly, if the Sandro deal does go west, then from the little I have seen of them both, that Perez lad from Arsenal seems a similar type and would be a good (if more expensive) substitute for him.

- The Sheffield Telegraph report Sheffield United face an uphill task to lure Jagielka from Everton.

- Club Call website say Chelsea interest in Lukaku has cooled because of the asking price and the club are looking elsewhere. The Daily Star and Express reckon Manchester United could sign the striker ahead of Chelsea.

- The Croydon Advertiser report Crystal Palace and Everton are tracking 17 year old Venezuelan striker Jan Hurtado who starred in the recent U20 World Cup.

- According to the Mirror, West Ham are trying to tie Pedro Obiang to a new contract amid interest from Everton.

- Tuttomercato say Sampdoria are lining up a deal for Diego Falconelli who has been on Everton's radar.
