This has been the most un-Evertonian off season I can remember.
It just goes to show at what an amateurish level we were operating before.

Hats off to Moshiri, Walsh, and everyone behind the scenes. They really get that if we are to re-establish ourselves as a real force in the game then it begins with how we conduct our business off the field.

This week saw a much lighter sprinkling of Weasel Sightings - in no doubt due to the decline in Sandro discussions - and a generally quiet time on the rumour front.

Until yesterday, where all of a sudden, we had MOVEMENT.

Some thoughts:

  • Lots of nice new names on there this week. I am delighted to see Weasel Breeding continues on this upward trajectory.
  • @AndyC doing a quick-fire hattrick in there, incredible, wasn't expecting it.
  • Still no quality sightings of a couple of Perennial Weasels. But I've not given up hope.
  • We are so, so close to this list going into mayhem with @themole10 god status being bestowed. So close. Might even happen tonight, but that's the danger of print journalism I suppose.
As ever, it is the Weasel Hunters who do all the hard yards. This is simply a collection, a recording of their work.

You may want to rethink this as apparently Jose Baxter has been given a 12 month contract......that's a typical Everton move.....completely mental!
 
The fees we've paid out (or will pay out) for Pickford, Klaassen, Keane, Onyekuru and Sandro will effectively be off-set by the sales of Lukaku, Cleverly, Gibson and Oviedo.

McCarthy and Del are likely to be sold (hopefully Niasse and McGeasy too) with the fees received likely to go towards a first choice striker.

We've also shipped out some big earners so wages don't seem to be spiralling out of control.

All of the above potentially being done without much net spend. It's being cleverly done.
