Summer Transfer Window 2017

Iheanacho is a non starter as City wont sell without a buyback clause. Apparently he's going for £25mill and the buyback is £35mill, so I dont get how Leicester benefit from this deal.

Dembele or Batshuayi would be my first choice.

They get a striker who if he does well scores a shed load of goals for a season and 10 mil profit if they sell him back...that's how they benefit

I reckon after losing Lukaku the club will want to make a statement to show we are not a selling club.
I can see our transfer record being broken on a big name.
Wether that's a CF a playmaker or a CB remains to be seen.
Either way I think all of the Lukaku money will be spent on 2/3/4 players
God I hope so. If we truly are selling Lukaku then I hope we make a large announcement soon after that shows we mean business.

Not to me it isnt, its basically an expensive loan. If it doesnt work out, City have banked £25mill. If he scores 20+ goals in the next 2 seasons, Leicester basically lose him for a similar fee to what they paid.

How can you not see how they benefit from that? Worst case scenario they get paid £10m to loan someone for a year. Gutted.

Would you be happy if after paying £28mill for Rom, Chelsea come along now and took him back for a £10mill profit?

Dembele from Celtic is hardly a statement signing.

Hmm agree in a reputation and stature sense but in fee it would be. Would cost a bit to get Dembele from Celtic. I like him but I agree, I don't see a striker from the SPL being a "statement" signing.

Well obviously I wouldn't be happy but if it had clearly been part of the deal from the outset it would be totally different wouldn't it? I mean, we paid £5m to take him on loan for a year, so if they'd said we could take him on loan and they'd give us £10m it would have been an absolutely unbelievable deal.

I'm not saying iheanacho is the answer for us, but your logic on why it isn't a good deal for Leicester is so flawed it's quite extraordinary.

Like with Del?

Belotti, Bellarabi/Keita Balde and Manolas is the answer. Not gonna happen though. Such a [Poor language removed] day. Knew Rom would go but to Man U is worse and really hoped for more than £75m and here take Wayne Rooney too :( Signing a striker for likely 35m+ from the SPL who was outscored by Scott Sinclair makes me want to puke
