Not a fan of Benteke but his goal scoring record is:

2012–2015 Aston Villa 89 (42)
2015–2016 Liverpool 29 (9)
2016– Crystal Palace 36 (15)

The record is just shy of 1 in 2. That is pretty decent and he is only 26.

He's not the most exciting signing but he is decent.

Y'know I've said this to a Villa mate of mine and I'll stick it in here too seeing as we're supposedly linked. When Benteke played for Villa, Villa had wingers. Fast ones who liked to cross. A lot. Villa had one of the highest cross percentages per game. Benteke loves that. When he left for the Shi'ites I told my mate that it wouldn't go so well for him. At the time the Rednecks had the least amount of crosses in the league per game. He just didn't fit. And it failed.

We're not exactly inundated with wide men right now. Koeman doesn't appear to be too big of a fan of that style of play either. I don't think Benteke would be much of a fit here either. Palace is probably about his level afaIc.

The fume if we got Benteke would be great. Lukaku was always labeled lazy, ever watch Benteke run? Any slower he'd be going backwards. Not impressed with him and would feel let down if he was lukaku's replacement. Would rather gamble on Dembele. Fast and young.

I'll be totally honest, I'd have him at the club for the right price! Think he's a good player and at the end of the day is he better than some of the options we currently have, is he better than Mirallas? Yes! Is he better than Lennon? Yes! So yeah, I wouldn't mind him.
