I don't see sandro or Rooney as natural number 9s. Sandro will play lots as an inside forward I'd think.

We have clearly been putting out feelers, and we will get somebody in.

But for the time being, heading into the pre-season games, we've given ourselves some breathing room by getting England and United's record goalscorer back to compliment a very youthful front line that also now includes Sandro, who scored 14 goals in La Liga playing mainly central with the freedom to roam.

I'd take Benteke all day long. I'd imagine it would be one or the other with Giroud or Benteke. Can't see why we would need both?! But one of them, Sigurdsson and a wide player wouldn't be bad for our next signings imo...

What have people got against Benteke ffs? Blerts. I've wanted him here since he left Villa.

Strong, good touch, dominates in the air, lots of flick ons for our other forward players & scores almost 1-in-2.

Don't care one bit he spent a year across the park it's irrelevant he's not like a local red is he.

If we can't get Giroud I'd be allllll over this (probably prefer him tbh).

By the time they're "ready" to challenge all these players will be too old? Need replacing and then your back to square one
