But you don't think he'd have scored from the position lukaku did do you? With his right foot? That was the point being made wasn't it? That he would have scored all the same goals. I've got a video of tony Hibbert scoring a free kick if you think he could do the same!

I've no doubt benteke could have scored 20 goals for us, maybe more, but he's not the same type of player and wouldn't score the same goals. He'd have got more headers than lukaku did, maybe more tap ins too. I don't think he'd have scored goals like the one lukaku got at city away or spurs away, the third at Sunderland or Sunderland at home and that's just off the top of my head.

Good player in his own right though.

He might not have scored that free-kick but may have scored off a cross Rom didn't so it's not really relevant in my eyes haha. I think the way we play would afford more chances to him than Lukaku.

I understand the reservations but looking at Koeman's managerial past it seems a no brainer move to go for players like Giroud or Benteke. At the minute we have no aerial attacking threat unless we get a corner defenders can come up from.

Think my left bollock could have finished this. Could find a few more clips like this from his Roma days.

Yeah I agree, that was the point I was making. He'd score different types of goals but he's very different to lukaku and I was disagreeing with the poster who said he'd have scored all the goals lukaku did when he blatantly wouldn't.

lol okay then, he's scored goals for fun in every league and every club he's played for but that doesn't matter because nymzee says he's badly overrated
