Spurs, city, Leicester away the 1st & 3rd v Bournemouth at home, Sunderland & Southampton at home Benteke would not of scored either.

I would be quite happy with Benteke if we can't tempt Giroud, he obviously fits RK's mould. The only reason he is disliked is because of the teams he's recently played for. He scored 1 in 2 in the prem, if he'd come from Milan or Juve or something people would be all over it, it just doesn't SOUND as good being a RS reject and more recently a Palace bottom 6 fighter. I don't think Dzeko had that kind of return for city (although I think he was mainly a sub?), he just sounds more prestigious on our transfer list. Plus Benteke is only 26, not even in his prime, if it takes Koeman 6 months to get him up to speed with our new style he could be bringing us 15-20 for years to come. Especially if the 30M mark is accurate. Bargain in this silly window. 10 goals shouldn't be worth 60 extra million

My issue with Benteke is nothing to do with the teams he's played for. I genuinely couldn't care less if we signed John Aldridge tomorrow if I knew he was going to score 30 goals and win us the league.

What I think is a major issue though, is that people thought Lukaku was lazy and never really took to him despite him scoring 25 goals last year. Benteke makes Lukaku look Stracqualursi in terms of effort - when he can't be bothered he really can't be bothered and might as well not be there - and probably won't score as many goals either.

Isn't Lukaku at the bottom of the distance covered charts? Like literally one of the worst in the league for distance covered per game?

Agreed. Premiership clubs can afford to turn down £30m bids. Most clubs can't. There's so many top players playing outside of England.

I would actual cry. After all the boss players talked about to end up with him. He's not even woeful, he's alright at what he does, but he's just not sexy enough for new Everton.

I've not seen anything solid enough for me to be too worried as yet though.

I suspect there may be interest there but once we enquire and find out the ridiculous price they'll be asking I hope we walk away.

Buying from the Prem is going to be so much more expensive now.

i just think if you chuck 40-50 million at Inter for Icardi or someone like that you'd at least get around the table and like you say teams over there can't afford to turn down serious bids. It might be a bit unrealistic but thats the level and profile of player you should be getting for that money.
