Summer Transfer Window 2017

Not sure of the validity of this guy but he's got a verified twitter account so should obviously be taken as gospel.

I know this is said alot but this summer window really is the biggest in our recent history.

Lukaku leaving
Barkley 50/50 to stay
Coleman out for half the season and might not return the same player.

That's 3 of our best players all in their prime either possibly leaving or in Colemans case not returning to his same ability.

Simply put Walsh really has to earn his money this window and not only replace atleast 2 of those above, but also strengthen the back 4/GK and bring in a good backup forward.

I agree that this window will be a watershed in our history.
Moshiri has done the work off the pitch.
He got rid of Martinez , brought in Koeman and Walsh , made a start on new stadium development / funding.
He has brought in sponsorship money and re arranged the clubs debt and finances.
All very nice and civilised but nothing to get us as Evertonians excited about what really matters .... players on the pitch , trophies and European football under the lights.
He needs to flex his muscles and make some real statements this summer.
I'm not sure of FFP rules but if the Finch farm sponsorship money can be spent in one season than it should be all spent this window.
If the 30 million for Sissoko was available in Jan then it's still there.
The money for this years transfer budget from Sky/Seaon tickets etc should be there as well.
Koeman knows who he wants out and who he wants to keep and personally I'd see
Lennon ,Naisse ,McGeady Jags, Geri Steks ,Cleverly and Tarasqui (sp ) going as these are all players who obviously Koeman doesn't rate ( Steks being the exception ) , so money shouldn't be a problem as those players could bring in 35/40 million.
I think ROSS will sign a new contract and Rom WILL be told you are staying for one more season.
You can sign a new contract with a release clause of our valuation or stay on 70 k a week for one more year.
Probably a clause inserted about CL qualification
Then the real work starts
Moshiri needs to get one or 2 Statement signings in the first 2 weeks of the window to prove he is serious.
To this end I can see Rooney ( who Koeman has publicly stated will make us better ) Keane (another player Koeman has courted publicly ) and possibly Hart/Forster signing in the first 2 weeks of the window.
That needs to be followed up with a serious attempt on 3/4 top names plus a few squad players
Some of the names mentioned here are just not feasible.
VVD will go to a CL team ,imagine him and Stones at City ,Peps dream team , or else Chelsea who have a RB playing CH and an aging CH beside him.
Pickford , Jury's still out
Lancezete Tielemans and the like are still a bit out of our league.
It will be younger up and coming players or the likes of Mata / Siggy who will come to us.
Whatever is done it has to be done early and with no tournament football this summer there's no reason it can't be.
Bill and Elstone should be given 3 months holiday and not let anywhere near transfer negotiations
The days of Bill signing players on deadline day to save 3 months wages should be a thing of the past.
Players should all be in for pre season so we can hit the ground running in mid August.
I know we may have to wait for the transfer merry go round to take off to get some of our targets but so be it.
I'd like to see a Koeman statement before our first game to read

We have concluded all our transfer business
We are happy with how this window has went and our squad is complete.
Only if something exceptional comes along will we do more business and we have the funds available to do that if necessary.
Mosh it's time to take the gloves off

Its all over some Milan fan forum that they've missed out on him to us because they were too slow in their negotiations waiting for the chinese takeover.

No idea how true this is but am I right in saying he could now enter into a pre contract agreement. Maybe Mo's been on his case.

I know we want to start planning for the summer but it's hard when we don't know what lukkau and Barkley are doing?

The club needs to decide and make the decision for the players. If they don't sign contracts before the end of the season then start negotiating fees with clubs

Is Martial a ridiculous shout? Mourinho is in the process of ruining him and its not unlikely that he'd want out. Incredible player when being managed properly.
That tweet was Dec 2016.
I doubt we would pay the expected fee
United would look to recoup most of the money they paid for him.
He could be a good player if managed properly but bringing young players through doesn't seem to be Jose 's forte

That bloke on twitter who claims Barkley has been in talks with spurs for weeks also claims Kolasinac has all but signed for Arsenal. He's either bob on the money or a complete bull merchant.

If he does sign for Arsenal Wenger has definitely become our new Spurs/Newcastle and just targetting any player we go for after Perez. We might have to do our business quietly this season.

Moshiri bid £60m for Koulibaly last summer. £55m for a CB isn't the issue itself, the issue would be if Koeman/Walsh decide the money needs to be allocated elsewhere.

Edit:

Out:

Cleverley: £8m
Niasse: £10m
Deulofeu: £12m
McCarthy: £20m
Funes Mori: £15m

Total: £65m

In:

VVD: £55m
Siggurdsson: £25m
Pickford: £20m
Keane: £25m
Jose: £20m
Total: £145m

Net spend: £80m

It's kind of mental but if all the banging on about £100m warchests is true then the dream summer is doable. This is almost certainly not how any of this works though.

I just can't see those players going for those fees. McCarthy maybe, someone like Newcastle would be stupid enough to give us that kind of money but no one else would. And we spent quite big on Mori originally but I'm not sure someone would take him off of our hands at that price. But tbh, I'd keep him for another season as a squad option.

And again, I'm not convinced VvD will go for £55m! Don't know why but I just don't think he will. Maybe £40-45m rising to £50m at a push?!....

Sure he'll have fun sitting on the bench like Lucas has done this season.

You would think players would learn wouldn't you. Football is going to the dogs when you talented lads happy to join a club to sit on the bench than play first team at a club that's level on points with said side.

People slate Mirallas but atleast he joined us over arsenal to play regular football.

Not many other decent LBs left out there that we could realistically replace Baines with. Bloody Arsenal.

Indicates that Wenger is staying, at least, which can be nothing but good news for the rest of the PL.
