He should be, but he also went to Scotland with other options on the table. Hard to know what goes on in a players head. Maybe he misses home.

to be fair to him, he went to Scotland to get regular game time, something he did and smashed, other offers he might not have played a key roll and stalled his development

And maybe he thinks Marseille makes more sense to continue that development than an Everton move where he'd not be guaranteed anything with Sandro and Rooney to compete with. Like I said, it's hard to know what a player thinks and what an agent/advisor is saying. Wages, we'd obviously have the upper hand, but there's more to it than that.

It's been 1 year. He's 21. So you defend him going to Celtic at 20 but not Marseille at 21? Klassen stayed at Ajax until he was 24. There's a right and wrong move for young players. I haven't seen enough of the guy to know if he could cut it. If he signs, I hope it's because he's ready.
