CB wouldn't even be much of an issue if Funes was fit... Funes/Keane would be a good partnership, as Funes wouldn't be playing the ball near as much.
Good point that about Mori, if he gets in the team next season he might work a lot better with Keane then he has with anyone else, also the players he will have on front of him might also benefit him on the weekest part of his game

Mori has been linked top class European sides, probably rubbish but shows he has potential. Unfortunately he sometimes confuses himself for his Argentinean counterpart Mascherano and starts playing ball like that. Defensively he is class (minus playing against the RS)....

Disagree. He's judged on the performance of the team. Period. He doesn't buy anyone. If Walsh can't get him adequate talent to replace Lukaku and whoever else, that's not on Koeman. Now, if Koeman told him buy Pickford, Keane, Klassen, and Walsh agreed and bought them, then yes, that's on Koeman if he can't get them playing at a high level. I'm sure Koeman is telling Walsh what he needs and Walsh is trying to satisfy those needs (as well as plan for the future and many other duties).

Now I think it's fairly obvious who Koeman and Walsh have gone after. If we get another 3-4 in and they are a combination of the players we've been hearing about, then yeah, I'd say much of it is on Koeman.

Do you think
Williams
Bolasie
Schneiderlin
Cuco

Were not Koeman signings? Like do you honestly believe Steve Walsh selected Cuco Martina as being a secret weapon after being shockingly bad for Southampton and their 3rd choice right back?

If you don't think hes pushing for 50mil Sigurdsson then I think youre also off the mark

williams was fine last season and served a purpose. tbf he would be ok this season playing along side keane giving him a little freedom to do the moving. but seriously if we want to move forward coupled with the fact that mori is out injured we need a new CB. leaving jags and williams on the bench and playing in eu and cups game when we rotate.

if keane gets injured we are royally fd. dont know why we dont buy a top CB? why dick around buying averageness? 30m would do it easy, adding quality and depth at the same time.

There is Holgate to he seems to be staying around (not going out on loan) so he is another option.

I didn't say I didn't think they weren't his picks. They likely were, but it's not like Steve Walsh has to go with it, either. Regardless, I do believe we'll get in most of the guys he wanted and it'll be up to Koeman for the team to perform. But that's just my gut feeling and opinion. It's still as much Walsh's responsibility to find AND get guys as it is Koeman to pick guys.

He hardly ever wins a tackle. Decent in the air, but beyond that, he was poor last year.

You have shattered my illusions!

I like 6 players we've signed: Lookman, Pickford. Keane, Schneiderlin. Gana, Sandro
I like 6 former u23s: Kenny, Holgate, Connolly, Davies, Dowell, DCL
I like 1 existing player: Coleman

Huge amount of improvements needed in my opinion.

Just can't agree at all.

He doesn't tackle because he is actually pretty damn quick and physical enough to stop CF's getting the ball. A few bad tackles isn't the end of the world either, he can improve; Williams cannot. "Decent in the air" - replace with very good.

Give him a go next to Keane, you would be surprised.
