Rooney for me is a squad player, I will be gutted if he's been promised a starting role with us. I'd like to see him and Klaassen fighting it out for the number 10.

I actually think Klaassen was signed for number 10, and that situation has been made more difficult, if you will, once it became apparently we could get a good deal on Rooney. I'd rather have not signed him to be honest, for several years I've been saying he offers very little nowadays, and I won't change that just because he's suddenly wearing blue again.

I think Schneiderlin/Keane/Pickford would have a chance of getting in the RS team and Arsenal teams. Other than that I can't see a single one of our fit players getting in any of the teams above us.

Coleman would, but you added the "fit" part.

Baines still gets in the RS team IMO

Other than that, it's difficult to make a call about the likes of Sandro and Klaassen until we see more of them at this level

All these square pegged 4-3-3 formations are driving me nuts. We have no wingers but an abundance of central players. Why don't we just play a system that suits the players we have available?

4-3-1-2 I say with Giroud(?) and Sandro up top in front of Sigurdsson. Rooney can rotate with any of those 3. Klaassen, Gana and Morgan as the three with only Morgan in a fixed central position. Davies, Besic, McCarthy, Barry can rotate with those. Oh and for this to work we can't have Holgate at RB and Baines needs to grow a pair and take people on otherwise replace him.

Simple this management stuff.

Of course he has. Why else would he have signed?

Wayne Rooney could have made millions and millions over the course of a few years if he went overseas. I'm not saying I agree with it, but Rooney is here to play.

Yes I am sure you're right, and I don't think it will benefit Everton. I genuinely think he's seen as playing the same position as Klaassen, it's a weird one but I feel Koeman has dropped a clanger here. Rooney should not be guaranteed games with us. By the way, he'll also be making millions and millions with us.

could have said the same last year yet we still had a good year, we have strengthened our team this year, even more so if we sign a few more, bearing in mind Tottenham haven't done anything ( yet ) Liverpool have only really signed salah but will probably lose their best player, arsenal will likely lose their best player so you never know
I think the point is that we finished behind all those teams last year, and so we probably will do again this year.

Are you drunk? You do understand how much united used to pay him, and how much we are paying him now? He's got millions. His millions got their own millions. Why would he need to go anywhere to make money? And how does him not needing more cash make him want to play? He's such a blue and a nice guy yet he still wanted to be the best payed player at our club, even tho he could easy play for free for the rest of his carrer and still roll in money?
If thats not bad enough, he's not that good anymore either. His touch is as bad as Roms, he's SO slow and just falls over all the time. Never should have brought him back. He's not good enough, and the fee/salary could be used on actual good players, not a has-been using us to stroke his own ego.

Wayne transfer makes me sick.

Rooney on the left might work. He naturally comes deep to get the ball, and could link up well with baines like pienaar but with a better range of passing. Good shout

I certainly don't want him up front, need a proper target man

One of the reasons Rooney went crap at the Mancs was because they started playing him out wide, got that on good authority because the missus's dad and brother are both Man U season ticket holders.

So you're saying Rooney will do well then

Regardless of the transfers we have made and will still make this season, the main issue is will we replace Rom's goals. If we do not then we will be fighting for 7th again. All about goals.
