Rest assured mate, I am not, never ever have been or ever will be a "WUM".

I want Everton to be European Champions and English champions. I want them to be playing their football in the best stadium in Europe. I want our team to play the most entertaining but ruthlessly efficient football possible. I want our organisation represented with dignity and credibility on - and especially off the pitch - and the most public of faces we show to the world to be fantastic ambassadors for the club.

They are my objectives. If we fall short of at the very least aiming for those then we shouldn't be happy.
Why can I hear "Land of hope and glory" in background when I read this?

I particularly liked @davek 's contributions today. He adopted a different, less acerbic, more accommodating tack and managed to net many likes...great Stockholm Syndrome stuff!
I enjoyed Davek's posts today too. Normally they are too angry for me when I am trying to wind down after dealing with assclowns all day, but today they seemed almost bantery

Theres probably 3 better than him just at City, good player but nowhere near the best playmaker in the league.

Which 3 would they be sir?

....early rumour round-up this morning as I'm taking my son and his wife the airport. Here's Thursday morning's gossip;

- According to the Telegraph, Everton's Ross Barkley is one of four players Antonio Conte has targeted for Chelsea ahead of the new season. The Daily Star say Chelsea are seriously interested in the Toffee's midfielder.

- The Daily Mail reports Watford have made a loan enquiry for Everton winger Aaron Lennon.

- The Daily Star and The Express say Everton will complete the £50m signing of Gylfi Sigurdsson by the weekend. The Mirror says a deal worth £45m will be finalised in the next 48 hours.

- Ninetyminutesonline suggest Everton are one of a number of elite clubs chasing 20 year old Borussia Dortmund winger, Emre Mor.

- The Liverpool Echo quotes Ronald Koeman as saying Everton will have a "really strong side" if the club manages to bring in their remaining targets. The Blues are more hopeful than ever of signing Gylfi Sigurdsson and still want a striker and a left sided defender. Olivier Giroud is still thought to be Koeman's favoured striker option, and the club are also linked with £12m Lazio defender, Wesley Hoedt.

- James McCarthy is now odds-on favourite with SkyBet to join Newcastle from Everton.

Emre Mor is the complete opposite of a Koeman type player. Lightweight, keeps his head down when he dribbles, can't play 90 minutes. Very promising youngster but can't see that one having any legs

How old are you eggs? o_O

Maradona, probably the greatest footballer in history, was/is 5'4. So is Manny Pacquiao, probably the greatest boxer in history.

I'm 6'1 but my son is only 5'5 and he has a serious complex about it.

Pacquiao is 5'6 and is not the best fighter in history by a country mile, he's not even close to being the best fighter historically in any if the divisions he's fought in
