Im beginning to worry that we dont actually have any cash. I'm not concerned about losing out on Gilfi as I think there are higher priorities but the fact that we're still quibbling over 5m for what appears to he RK's top target is worrisome.

Sorry but what team outside the Top 6 is actually better than us? Like actually. There's some right dross in the PL these days.

Interesting question, it def feels like there's this gulf between us and the WBA/Stoke/West Ham/Saints/LCFC tier of upper mid table clubs. After that you're looking at a pretty steep drop off.

Nobody is paying more than £40m for Glyffi if it's not Everton in this window
LCFC reported offered more, but Siggy wants to go to Everton. So not sure about that.

Regardless, whether it's Siggy or not, we need a couple REALLY GOOD players - like Lukaku level - at a couple positions. Sigurdsson is certainly one. Certainly we need something close to that at CF, and Giroud would probably be it.

Odd thing is, we haven't even gotten wind of any sales. If we sold McCarthy, Lennon, Niasse, Robles, and Ross, we could go get VVD and a winger on top of Siggy and Giroud (or whoever else). It's a pipe dream, I know, but still.

Only interesting one to me is woodman, could loan him out like stoke did with butland then see him compete with pickford in a few seasons.

..he was terrific in the World Cup tournament but if I was him I'd be thinking of a club with an older keeper, the monies paid for Pickford and his age suggest he'll be around for a while. Saying that, it does seem a strategy to buy the best young talent.
