Well, on the bright side, look where they are now, just three seasons later. Genuine title contenders with what is in my opinion the best defence, one of the top two if not the top midfield, and the most efficient striker in the league. Did I mention two back to back title challenges as well?

So this is part of the process you might say.

Spurs aren't doing too badly. Won't complain if we are in a similar position a few years after selling our star player.
