Summer Transfer Window 2017

Seeing as we have spent nothing really £7mil and are main man promised us all he had £75mil should be there. The tv money is there as well.

It's a few mill spent but, add the agents and signings on fees, it's no doubt a bit more.
As you say though, the extra tv cash and words etc, who knows?

Or just being, for once, a realistic manager. All the teams above us are enormous. We can't compete financially with most of them. A couple are vulnerable (RS & Arsenal).

He is being realistic, yet I think it's interesting he brings transfers into it. Still think with a few more we could have a real go at RS, Arsenal and maybe Spurs.

The thing is, if he knew what the budget was and we're sticking to it, then he can't really complain.
If, he was told there was more and it's not getting spent, he should say so (seeing as he speaks the truth apparently)?

I believe he expects more. Clear that he feels the Sigurdsson deal should have been done. Sometimes you need the pre season games out the way to add the finish touches to the squad. Though a Lukaku replacement should have been priority.

Sold him to one of the clubs we want to chase down as well.

We still have a small club mentality.

Definitely. United should have been laughed off. No way you sell your elite goalscorer to the team in 6th. We almost took pride in selling too. Horrible.

But we did sell, and got a crap deal in comparison to the current going market rate.

Some blues were buzzing as well.

Why do some revel in being awful? The same ones who point fun at anyone who wants the best as a "bed-wetter".

I can't really work out what the strategy is..
On the one hand we go big for Pickford and Keane but, Klaasen for a big fee and then Sandro comes in also (small fee so maybe it's a no brainer for RK?).
What was the 'Walsh Italian job' about?
Fingers crossed we get it right.
I think we can sort of guess who is signing who or at least pushing for certain players.

Koeman the minute he walked in wanted bolasie im guessing he wanted stekelnburg martina Schneiderlin etc possibly Williams

Pickford & Keane are no Brainers Walsh most likely gueye, lookman Sandro onyerku

I read somewhere the Italian jaunt was as much about putting Everton's name
Out to the big clubs & agents over there to say we can mix it financially now &
To build a relationship for the future.

Christopher henroraty the Belgian agent was saying the other week he meets with Real Madrid every few months just to keep a relationship for the future.

Anyway back to it striker needed quickly what I'd give for a 31 year old David Suker or Allen boskic type signing to tide us over until we can get a longer term solution.

It's always this time of the season the clappers come out in force. The people who've seen everton win the lot but get really arsey when us younger ones get frustrated that we've seen nothing but abject failure in 20+ years.

I want to see us improve but it's extremely frustrating when we do improve, but take 2 (probably more like 22) steps back by selling our whole goal threat, and worse still don't bother reinvesting the money on a replacement.

I think mainly cos crying like a lil bish on the internet doesnt help, it just makes you sad, then you start to drink, then you get sadder, then the voices bally, the voices, they tell you terrible things I bet.

Basically, it aint worth worrying abar, what happens, will happen.

It was the transfer that set the market. Sorry but again we are using hindsight to criticise the club. Effectively 75 mill, 90 mill or 100 mill, whatever you believe was the absolute best we thought we could achieve at the start of the window. Who knew bang average players were going at 54 mill and superstars at 200 mill?

I think that's where the frustration might actually be?
We can't replace his goals but, we can buy a player that fits RK's preferred setup?
I'm only guessing because I can't actually work out what the preference of style of play is, given the signings made.

At this junction in time though, the man so clearly wanted to leave. He'd just be a locker room cancer had we forced him to stay. I mean, the guy didn't even report to our practices last month even while he was still ours
