The injuries are not helping and are clouding it over a bit.

Coleman and Bolasie will certainly offer pace and a bit of strength when they return as will Barkley if he is staying, but McCArthy, Robles, Niasse and Lennon are just passengers now and need moving on.
I get that McCarthy has his injury issues but why would you move him on, especially with Barry leaving? Do you want more new players to try and mesh together?

I know I'm the voice of doom. I just don't see us anywhere close to the top 4.
Nobody in our midfield or attack would get in any top 4 (Manchester City, United, Chelsea or Tottenham side) and I'm not even sure we'd get more than 1 or 2 (at most) in either the RS or Arsenal midfield.
This looks like a 55 point side at the moment.
Just can't see us scoring enough unless we get a top class striker.
Imagine if Claudio and the lads had that same frame of mind

Because he never plays.

But I take your point, perhaps with Barry going he will not be sold now.

Baaaaakaambu bu bu
push pineapple, shake a tree
to the left, to the right....

Sign him Management Team. We can sing and dance our way to the title whilst he bangs in 30 goals.

But seriously though, who are the realistic options for a striker?

If I am not mistaken there are zero solid and credible links to any striker apart from the chase in vain of Le Beard. No? @Connor @BlueToff

I really do think it's a case of us holding out as long as we see feasible for Le Beard.

Imagine it may come down to the end of the window.

an injury free Besic would be like a new signing, in that scenario would much rather sell McCarthy for the reported £20m + as we would never get that for Besic who I think is a superior player

Yes we signed
Pickford , young English international
Keane young English international
Klassen young Dutch international and Captain of Ajax
Sandro a highly rated Spainish international and a product of the Barcelona youth system who was wanted by Athletico Madrid amongst others
Rooney , Man united Captain and England's record goal scorer
Siggy Swanseas best player and the best playmaker outside the top six for a club record fee ( which was broke twice this summer )
We also signed 3/4 highly rated English and European players under 20 yrs of age
We did lose Lukaku
But yea it was a DECENT window
Klaassen and Sandro are unproven. We don't know if Rooney still has the legs and we still desperately need another centre back and striker. So I'll stick with my assessment.
