ON http://www.evertonfc.com/news/2017/08/16/live-press-conference
After RK press conference at 2 pm, under a picture of Wazzer, it says
"Today at 15:00
Everton Football Club plans to go live.
Refresh this window at the scheduled time to watch the video. "

A mistake, or will it be news?

It says 2pm mate.

We've spent about 150 mil including Sigurdsson and received about 100 mil from sales. 50 mil net spend, still needing a striker, a defender and ideally a pacy winger/forward. If we make those signings we'll be looking at at least 100 mil net spend which I don't think anyone can complain about.

However, that's IF we make those signings.
That represents investment yes. That is what I hopefully alluded to, we go out and spend around 100 million and strengthen ourselves then the club finally puts the past in the past.

We were here 12 months ago with some of the names banded about and it came to nothing so I'm going to patiently wait to see if the club wants to show ambition or simply solidify that 7th place. 3 players like you mention could be the difference in the next few years of us building something or still being a feeder club to the ones we want to catch.

What's the crack with Jim White saying after Gylfi another player will come in? I never used to listen to him but he's Mosh's bum chum. Is it "I know something" or "2 weeks left they still need players".

If we could afford it I'd gladly pay it
6/7 yr contract and loan him to Fulham for 2 years
Surprised City or Chelsea haven't done this
Absolutely amazed Chelsea not done it seeing as he is on their doorstep and the way they buy kids and loan them out all the time.

Do you reckon we will get someone under the radar mate?

Im struggling to come up with someone i would mildly be interested beyond Benteke and Dembelle and i think there are risks attacthed to both.

My only current name is Dzeko, fancied that boy Immobile a little, but I havent seen enough to go full on need mode.

Im hoping we have a few options lined up, hopefully better names than that utter flop at Blackburn.

I think our defence is stronger because of our style of play rather than because of the individuals in there being better defenders.

Keane would probably get in the RS defence (but they didn't sign him) but I'm not sure Arsenal would have him.
A fit Coleman would get in both.
Baines - maybe, they are both weak at left back
Pickford in RS but not Arsenal

I'd take Pickford over todays Cech every time now, Cech is not the goalie he was even two years ago never mind at his peak! As for the RS - Pickford is a class above their pair already and he'll only get better over the next few years!

Edin would do a job at this stage i wouldn't be dissapointed, he would be a nuts and bolts signing at this stage, ideally i would like someone 26-30 with a bit more mileage and development in them but we are at the business end of the window now and just cant afford to fall short. We're looking for 15 PL goals for my money. Im concerned we have looked to lack a cutting edge in all our games so far.

My sense of it is we are waiting for the market to move a bit, in the sense i think we are looking at strikes at clubs that are waiting to do business before they will do business. Im sure we have a strategy and options for the position.

This is a side issue this season that is going to be interesting. Koeman has spent money ( and looks like the spending hasn't finished) and this is now his squad. So no excuses anymore.

If, as you say, he's easily better than Klopp, then Koeman should finish above him.
Not entirely fair.
I think that so many players have been signed it will take time for a new team to gel .

I am amazed that we have been so active in the market and have signed so many, I really thought it would be about four players this summer, I did not expect this level of activity and tells us a lot about what RK thought of the squad he inherited at Everton.

The local rivalry will be interesting, but I am looking for further progress this season from last year.
To announce a new stadium, finish ahead of Liverpool would be sweet.

On a slightly side issue, I have listened to a number of pundits being asked about their top four this season , Utd, City and Chelsea all included, but many have included Liverpool before Spurs which I find bizarre.
