Barkley to Leicester??
..lots of outlets picking up on the Vardy story. Not a conventional target man but he goes to war with opposition CBs so can be an 'out ball'. As you say, he certainly exploits any space behind the back four and would've been ideal against City last Monday.
40 mil for King of the chavs vardy. No thanks
Barkley to Chelsea. Get Costa in on loan as part of the deal. Not interested in Vardy myself too much for a player similar to what we already have. I want a target man.
Defensively I hope they bring in 2 specialists rather than a player who does both. Ben Gibson would be my choice for centre back as he is a similiar age to Keane and Pickford so the centre of defence could stay together for years. Left Back I'm not sure who I want but someone that understands they need to dislodge Baines and will not walk straight into the team. I would like a left footed winger as we don't have one fit at the moment. If we can move Barkley and McCarthy on I would also maybe be looking for one more centre midfielder.
Players out would be the above mentioned plus Niasse, Garbutt and Lennon. I would have moved Robles on but he is on too much money so keep him as a 3rd choice.

100% yes for Vardy...
100% No for £40 million...
Who do we have who's similar to Vardy??
I agree that we need a focal point to the attack but we're crying out for some pace up top. If we'd had a player like Vardy against City, we would have had a much better chance of catching them on the break and putting the game to bed when playing against 10 men.
Can't see Leicester selling Vardy so unlikely to happen but I think we're crying out for a player like him to get in behind teams.
My thoughts about Vardy, totally removing any personal like or dislike about his character etc (which obviously is there)
He's not 31 till January, and due to having a REALLY late start at the top level in the game, basically not even playing - and importantly training at a 'league' level until 2012 - so when he was 25, he has very very little games in his legs - so given the common perception that the amount of games a player has played from an early age will ultimately see them risk fading younger, then he is very much an Ian Wright type - another who started very late, - Wright kept his pace and was competing at the very top level well into his mid 30's.
So for me - the fee of 40m? assuming it includes a substantial proportion in add ons - i could live with.
How often in games against the rs - home and away, against Spurs, Arsenal - Chelsea, City and United and some others away from home have we found ourselves for long parts or all the game effectively pinned back under pressure and just hanging on with no genuine outlet, one thing Vardy would give is a constant threat against all of those teams, and his scoring record against the 'big boys' kind of illustrates that.
Like with a target man, as well as what the player himself brings in terms of goals etc, you have to look at how others games will benefit from him, Sigurdsson, Rooney, Klassen, Lookman, DCL, will all benefit massively from the space he creates
Don't rate him tbh, and watching him yesterday against Utd when he needed to hold the ball up and link play like we'd want him to do he was completely shabiteChav or not, why on earth would we not want Vardy ? He's got pace, he's always getting behind defenders, he's got real goal threat. He would add a lot to what we have.
He seems happy at Leicester, the club's been good for him, and they know how to play to his strengths. So it may take a bit of persuading to entice him away, but if anyone can, Kenwright can.
