he is the new lukaku mate...needs to fill out a bit still I think but seems to have the tools

We go and buy a "prospect" then we set ourself back imo.
If Lukaku is gone we need a ready made striker to come in to replace him.
We havent got the time or the patience to nuture through a young striker.
Now Abraham as back up to whoever else comes in (Lacazette would be fantastic but unrealistic i think) would be fine

With the Chinese investment Inter are probably richer than Everton. i would be less surprised to see Inter bidding for Lukaku. Icardi is an excellent player though.

If we are to sell Lukaku i would be well over to the 2 Milan clubs and say " we will sell you him for 10 million less than what we would sell to a premier league team"

We aren't looking to sell Lukaku though.

Hence putting a world-record price-tag on him.

Only if somebody actively approaches us with an offer that meets our valuation, then we will enter negotiations.

But thats what im saying. If Chelsea come in with our 100million valuation, i would prefer to sell for less than to sell to them

Why?

That makes no sense whatsoever, we aren't right now in a position where we are a competitor against Chelsea save for the very occasional 'blip' season, we are trying to crack into the top 4, Chelsea have finished outside the top 4 - twice in the last 12 seasons, every other season they have finished 1st-3rd.

Even with our new owner, they are in a position that they can spend more on fringe squad players like Batshuayi than our record ever transfer fee. We aren't making them weaker by refusing to sell to them for an amount more than someone else is willing, they simply go with 100m and buy another world class striker who possibly suits the system of Conte even better.

What actual difference does it make whatsoever who we sell him too? It'll still be spun in the media as small Everton selling soon as a big boy wanted the player etc, makes no difference if it is Chelsea or Bayern really, what would make a difference is the amount received, we sell for a world record 100m then that changes the narrative much as Bale being sold wasn't seen as a negative or slight against Spurs.

In short, we set our price, 100m would not be refused by any club who owned him, and if its met we sell, to whoever bids that

@Eggs , be interesting to see where Kolasanic does end up actually, funny thing is the papers today running with the story he has signed for Arsenal, quoting a report on goal.com from today, which uses the daily mail as its 'source' from it's story 3 days ago (which all the other rags followed with the same day), but ignoring the fact the Mail story was shown by first the lads father and then Wenger to be wrong.

Bit of an insight into how the Sports media works really
