Im not sure the Lukaku sale was a mistake. He was nowere bear good enough to play for them, selling him worked a treat.

...I think we hold the aces when it comes to Lukaku. Costa looks like he's off, things are falling into place. If we are genuinely interested in the youngster i suppose he could be part of any deal but it might be jarg reporting.

...Abraham looks a proper poacher but he's a bean pole more in the Crouch mould than Lukaku. I don't see lots of pace or technique in join up play but he knows where the goal is.

I don't obsess over the money side of things, but when you are already dismayed that they are signing said footballer, you are naturally going to be doubly dismayed that said footballer is going to cost big money.

I was more pointing out the fact that whether he cost £5m or £20m or £50m does it really matter?

I know. And I was explaining I don't generally care so much about wages and transfer fees but if you are already annoyed your club are buying such and such player, then the fee being so high is going to rankle on top of that.

Maybe so, think people just use numbers to beat the club over the head with when as fans they're more than irrelevant.

Yeh before this season I'd only seen him for England and in that UEFA Youth League and he dominated - like Loftus-Cheek - mainly due to his size. But like Crouch he surprised me with his footwork. Got soooo much stuff to work on but would love if we could somehow get him. Check out his last goal for Bristol City after like a 30 pass move, deft finish.

he is the new lukaku mate...needs to fill out a bit still I think but seems to have the tools
