I suppose the perception is that Oxlade Chamberlain (when fit / motivated) can play in lots of different positions in a way that Barkley doesn't seem to be able.

Out of the Arsenal malaise I think he might go on to be a brilliant player.

Another overrated English player playing for a media darling club.

His performance for England last month was embarrassing, and if that was Ross he would have been destroyed by the media. But plays for a London club, so London media brush it under the carpet.

I think his biggest problem is the fact that he can play lots of different positions. It doesn't give him the chance to just settle somewhere in the team as he never knows where he is going to end up playing. I think players like Mirallas have that issue too.
