STEFANO OKAKA

Everton are considering a shock loan move for Watford striker Stefano Okaka.

The 28-year-old journeyman scored the Hornets' first goal of the season in their opening-weekend draw with Liverpool, but has not figured in any of their three games since.

He is way down the pecking order at Vicarage Road after the arrivals of fellow frontmen Andre Gray and Richarlison, with new boss Marco Silva targeting Leicester's Islam Slimani as a replacement.

However, Goodison counterpart Ronald Koeman is a big fan of Okaka, who caught the Dutchman's eye after scoring twice against his Toffees last season.

MY EYES

Do we have the squad to compete with everyone in the league, like Koeman said we would?

Two let down summers on the run, failed to bring in what was required in both summers.

Don't even feel like I'm jumping the gun saying it either, with 48 hours still to go. I'm guessing we will panic buy someone and then go with what we've got.

Nothing but the best is good enoughlol
