Two let down summers on the run, failed to bring in what was required in both summers.

Don't even feel like I'm jumping the gun saying it either, with 48 hours still to go. I'm guessing we will panic buy someone and then go with what we've got.

We've lost Lukaku and probably Barkley.

It wasn't, it was £75m with the potential to go to £90 - none of us know what the add-ons are but that wasn't really the point. I think time will show how good of a deal Man Utd got for Lukaku.

Everton did well to move quick for some players in a market that has gone bonkers and I suspect Pickford, Keane etc would cost more if we signed them today.

He'll only seem a bargain if he wins the league with them and stays there a long time, in which case you'd imagine all of those add ons will be activated. The deals you speak of that make Lukaku seem cheap include add ons too.

Paul Joyce said it was £100m including £10m for Rooney, and funnily enough the wage cut Rooney has taken works out at roughly £10m over his 2 year contract I believe.

Your point about Pickford, Keane etc I definitely agree with. Pickford especially I suspect will turn out to be a steal.
