But we do have all the hallmarks of a classic Everton deadline day, with an attempt to sign a player from Portugal (where we have classically tried and failed to sign players) and a seemingly straightforward signing of a good player but who has work permit issues.

I'd like that Rondon from West Brom me. Doesn't score hat fulls I know but he's a tank and will hold the ball up well in the final 3rd, imagine how he'd bully defences in the Europa League especially. Been rumours for months he wants out of the Midlands and if we throw £20-£30m at them they'd surely be tempted.

I'd go for it, if he doesn't work out we can always sell him to China next summer.
