Who is responsible for buying first team players if not our director of football? Koeman has been saying we need a forward and a left sided centre half for weeks, so if it was up to him we would have bought them.

No idea mate. Nobody else knows either though. Personally I would like to think the manager would say "get me Player A" rather than "get me this type of player" for his starting 11.

I do think Chelsea being messed around the past few days did not help with our striker hunt as I reckon we would have made a move for Batshuayi if they got some other players in.

Disappointed mate. I wanted to be proved wrong but I just know Everton too well. Hopefully now more of you will see it too. The people at the top need a complete head shake. Can see us being Arsenal. Money owners but not willing to spend
I don't wholeheartedly agree with you mate but tonight has certainly given me food for thought.

Had Barkley not did a U-turn and should Niassé complete his deal, we would have had about a £1m net spend.

Anyone still backing Moshiri?

it's almost as though all the players we've signed (was it ten of them?) will be expecting to collect some sort of weekly wage

Here you are @Doolstar70 , he's even made it clear enough for you to understand what the problem is.

Back in your box, was it? Cheers.
Undoubtedly players had to be sold at the end of the window to fund the final purchases. That didn't happen, but still a massive positive net spend.
Would have liked others to come in, but have been screwed over by that weasle Barkley, who will fester in reserves and move for free next summer.

Chelsea have had us off there, got permission to talk to Barkley, terms agreed, now they can renegotiate the price when he's fit again

No club needs permission mate, they could have done that so easily its untrue, the rs are the only ones who f'd up because they couldn't stop themselves crowing about it to the media

how's it moshiri's fault we couldn't attract a striker?

We don't know what we couldn't attract a striker, as we don't really know who we did and didn't approach. All we know is that Lukaku told us he wasn't signing a new contract in March, and we then sold him well over 1 month ago, and yet here we are without a replacement. That's a failure.
