Summer Transfer Window 2017

I'm sorry but if we have the money we talk about, then a quality striker is definitely available.

If Koeman didn't have a massive hard on for Gilfi we probably use that little money we have to sign a striker instead.

8-10th for me this season, it's going to be so painfully boring to watch every week.

I'm currently finding solace in the fact that every team we finished above last season was awful, and going off the first 3 games they look like they will be again. I agree with boredom part though!

We had deals to sell both Barkley AND Niassé that would have brought in around £45m.

We had a £55m net spend.

Hardly earth shattering, is it?
And we had deals for Jimenez and had candy corn and rainbows and leprechauns. As long as you are living in fantasy land try to be less obvious with your hatred.

We had the 8th most net spend in the world, 4th in the league, and we have been 4th since Moshiri took over. We clearly didnt want to sell either of them enough, because we didnt, duh. Obviously not getting a striker is disappointing, but thats the boards fault, not the fault of the guy who HAS Funded us more than all buy 7 others in the world have funded their teams. Where is THEIR net spend?

4th in net spend in the league and everyones like "Everyone else improved, we didnt, we are going to drop 20 points".

You all deserve to suffer with a bottom table team, unfortunately you will get more than you deserve.

The superfans are delighted we have no chance of a top 6 finish I suppose. And believe me, we don't. This squad lacks pace, balance and obviously a target man.

Can't disagree with a lot of that. Kopite just asked me this morning, was there a clear transfer strategy evident in our dealings this summer? I asked him to explain what he meant. He said the signings of Rooney, siguardsson and klassen are similar in terms of what they offer. Instead of getting all 3, would our resources not have been better utilised in getting a quick forward player in, to inject pace in the team at the expense of one of these signings. Furthermore of course we haven't replaced lukaku, but he also said about the lack of pace throughout the team, especially with jagielka and Williams which will expose our defence. He acknowledged Pickford, Keane and Sandro when settled could become good signings.
But overall my feelings are, I feel it's been a decent window, nothing more. When your manager has reiterated time and time again the last 3 weeks, we still require a striker and left sided defender, then of course there is a sense of frustration about the end of the window when they haven't been addressed.

I don't think Leicester look too shabby and they'll definitely be a lot closer to us than they were last year. When you look at the firepower of the sides who finished above us and add Leicester in to the equation, our forward line doesn't compare.

I agree that top 8-10 will be the best we can hope for now given the poor end to the transfer window. We're an injury to Keane and DCL away from being bottom half fodder IMO.
