I think he's incapable of fixing the problems that Arsenal have, and they will almost certainly get humped 4-0 when they next run into Chelsea.
Finishing below 6th though? Not for me.
Finishing in the top six is determined by 38 games though, not just against the other top sides.
Don't get me wrong Arsenal are good side, and on there day they can compete with all the rest of the teams in the league. But there is a serious lack of leadership from top to bottom at the club and that may well be their undoing this season.

They are the only team that we could have a small chance of overtaking. If i was betting they will finish 6th a good few points ahead of us.The other 5 were much stronger than us to begin with and i feel with the failure to bring in a decent front man the gap between them and us has actually widened. We did well in the type of player we brought in but one cannot forget that all the others bought very well. Koeman was clear how important a front man and cover at the back was 4 weeks ago. He cannot just turn around and say now... oh we are well set up. The board failed to finish the job.

I agree with every point you make. But I'm not gonna write our hopes of a top 6 finish off already. Otherwise what's the point of it all?

So, this is the scenario. We sell Barkley, who we don't really need as it stands, for 35m and buy Jimenez for the same amount of money, who is, in my honest opinion, a very solid striker and much needed type of player in our squad.

However, a 15 year old girl in Ross wakes up, he rejects Chelsea move after wanting to leave whole summer and probably screw our chances up for some decent results in PL and EL.

What we need from Ross now is to leave in January for free , because that's EXACTLY what this club deserves for treating him like a world-class player. SMH.

If Jimenez arriving was dependent on Barkley leaving, then that says it all about Moshiri doesn't it?

Why are most upset? Lukaku was crap anyway and we sold him like a lot wanted, we now have a striker upfront who works hard and can win headers, which most also wanted, so you should be pleased.

We've brought in players like Klaassen and specifically Sigurdsson who need a target man to work.

We've brought in the likes of Rooney and Sandro who can work as inside forward; they are not target men.

As such, we've built a squad but didn't do it on the right foundations. That's the annoyance.

Maybe Jimenez's fee was depended on the sale of Barkley?

Now that liverpool decided to keep coutinho despite him wanting to leave and the big offers, will be interesting to see what happens- if he ends up playing for them then it will really highlight the fact that we made a huge mistake selling lukaku without replacing, when we could have kept him and played at least until january.

If this season doesn't go well- if few goals materialize- i think that lulakus sale without replacement will mean that looking back the story of this transfer window will be the crazy, unnecessary, early sale of lukaku not the new talent we did bring in. Everton that.

It was a much better window than I thought possible.

I am sure the Finance Dept is unhappy that some of the obsolescent stock like Robles, Barkley, Miralles and Mc Carthy was not sold
at some sort of discount but these things happen. And not getting a top number 9 was a big mistake. But we seem to have copied CFC's
tactic of stocking up on loads of younger players and maybe one or two will make it and maybe one or two can be sold on at some profit.

Still can't believe that LFC did'nt take 150 million for Coutinho...

Arsenal have had a narrow defeat at Stoke and a bumming at Anfield. Things we do every year..

Wenger hasn't suddenly turned into an awful manager though, and their players haven't suddenly turned crap. Arsenal are more than capable of winning 6 or 7 on the trot now, and probably will.

I agree that Wenger hasn't suddenly turned into an awful manager... he's done it over a few years... despite not winning the league for over a decade.... arsenal can attract and afford top top players.. but Wenger never signs any. Took him nearly a decade to sign a decent keeper ... his defence has always been weak and now he has a lot of midfielders that aren't very good
