We replaced Rooney with Marcus Bent in 2004 and got top 4. Deeney is exactly the kind of hardworking and selfless CF we need.

..I think RK wants a 'busier' CF but what separates the top 4 is the quality they have in the top third. Hard work is a requirement but so is the talent to turn half chances into goals.

...as I say, he plays like the game matters. Great pedigree coming through the ranks at Barcelona, he might be more the player who gets close to a CF as opposed to a direct Lukaku replacement. He looks decent to me.
