A lad I work with who is based in London (and is, truthfully, a bit of a blert) has a brother who is a football agent and told me on Monday night that Everton had been in contact with Walcott's agent for the last month or two, trying to convince him about a move here since we discussed the new contract for Dominic Calvert-Lewin.

This lad has never told me anything of interest before, and as mentioned earlier, he's a blert, so I thought nothing of it but suddenly wondering if there's something in it based on those articles by Bascombe and Dominic King
