What I'm saying is that I think it's unfair to not sign someone if they have fought it and made a full recovery. Would you not want your local MP or the Prime Minister to be someone who has recovered from cancer, of cause not. If a player is fit and passes a medical, good luck to him, I would welcome him at Everton.

I appreciate your sentiments.

Let me be clear, if we do sign him he'd probably instantly become my favorite player just due to his and my own circumstances and I'd back him 1000% but I feel it's different electing someone and purchasing (upon completion) the right to offer an extremely lucrative contract.

Just my paltry two cents but as we know two cents/two pence is worthless these days just like my ramblings. Didn't mean to cause any offence. Hope you have a good one.
