Summer Transfer Window 2017

Most of those are decent, but Benteke is a rich-man's Arouna Kone. He's a "No" from me.

To replace Lukaku will be the most difficult task of this transfer window. While I can understand your doubts considering Benteke, he seems like one of the only players of the premier league who could fit in our system and attacking play. I've also watched him play two or three times, and loved his hold up play. I think he failed at Liverpool because he isn't the typ of striker Klopp wants (pacey, agile forward/false 9) and he didn't fit the gegenpress. Which premier league target forward would you prefer? Or which striker in general?

I don't know much about strikers/center forwards, but although I agree that Benteke could be a useful piece for Koeman (agreed, better than's Klopp's usage of him), I don't think he's that good. If it's Benteke or Dafoe as backup, I'm ok with either (although I prefer Dafoe, Benteke's age, or lack of it, is a bonus). But I don't really rate him any better than Dafoe, and I don't think he's what the club needs. It needs to get a good, young striker from Europe and see if he sinks or swims.

I don't want to see warm bodies with lockers and £XX,000 per week contracts filling up the squad, and I'm not sure he's anything more than this.

Hope you used your full GOT experience to remind yourself all about what we have learned about protecting your IP address for that sort of activity - otherwise you could now be on some sort of "special" watch list and could end up in an institution where what sort of sex you have and when is just not your choice o_O

Do they have a refer a friend scheme? Could you refer me?

Makes sense that Ste thinking abar it.

Least that's what the jungle drums are saying.

hope he does, the more 25m attacking mid hybrid types they buy who are no better than what they have the better, rather that than they actually improve in the places they need

Not sure about signing Defoe as a backup striker because he's 34 years old. But I agree with you that we should sign a good, young striker like Dolberg, Dembele or Sandro.

I only really like Dafoe because his sort has a specific role and won't be confused with the type of player we need to develop. If in another year we are looking at Dolberg, DCL, and Dafoe (at 35) and we don't have a proven line leader, bin them all and get another. Having Benteke in the mix could work to confuse the process, since he is moderately capable, but not good enough.

I've always been a firm believer that the 4th championsleague spot should go to the FA cup winner.

That would do more to even the playing field than anything. While it's still likely the winner of the FA Cup will be a wealthy team, it's not always true, and would definitely make the FA Cup the most important competition for most of the Prem.
