I've been absorbing the under 20's world cup and I have been reading some interesting things in the streaming chat rooms.

That's all well and good and wasn't disputed. What was disputed was that we signed him last summer.

Hence the reply and Connor correcting it in his next post.

Lots of deals "complete" post-July 1 because contracts expire and deals can begin being registered with the needed bodies but it's very, very easy to agree and sign everything off before that point.

Hence why we've announced Lossl and Madrid have signed Hazard, Jovic, and Rodrygo.

Yes, lots of deals may be done but the vast majority of deals are done after the 1st of July.

Brands has also stated that he would rather get the right player tomorrow then the wrong player today.
