I certainly wouldn't leave Juventus to come to Everton if I was a footballer

Things would have to be pretty bad in Turin for me to consider it

What about a 2 year loan as per Kingsley Koman?

Bit of a rant...
With regards to our transfer strategy etc, if some are calling it Buy to sell then it’s Buy to sell all the way for me. I Would of course be disappointed if we lost the likes of Vlasic, Lookman and Henry but if we did so by doubling our investment with sell on/buy back etc then let’s do it. Would any of them start for us next season?

Improve the team and get the next wave of up and coming players in and do it again. Look at the investment Chelsea have made in youth and yet how many make the first team? Yet they keep doing it and turning a profit. It’s a business model of sorts and a viable one for us I think we should be embracing it. It’s slightly different approach for Ajax and PSV as they are big fish in a weaker league and can stretch the development out longer and sell for a bit more. Look what the RS have done with Ibe and Solanke all the while keeping the better Trent AA but buying mid range Southampton players, versatile Firmino (who we courted) and Salah who had been flogged off to Italy.

There are plenty of players out there that can come in for the right money and we have one of the best guys for the job.

Time to play the game, or at least try to

What Google says lol
André Gomes can be from Everton on Wednesday
  • The transfer is about to close for about 25 million euros
  • The Barca will have a benefit in its balance 2018-19 of about 9 'kilos' to be 15.8 to be amortized
André Gomes can close his transfer to Everton on Wednesday . The FC Barcelona and the English club have left missing signature almost an entente that will bring an income for Barca coffers of approximately 25 million euros, as has been told MD. The player, 25 years old, already had an agreement with the club of Goodison Park , where he has acted as a loan this season.

The Portuguese signed a contract with Barça in 2016 until 2021 after receiving Valencia 35 million fixed euros plus 4.5 in variables in the last three years. In this way, at the Camp Nou they had already amortized 23.7 'kilos' of André Gomes and 15.8 remained to be amortized. Of the difference with the 25 'kilos' that Everton will pay now is a net profit of just over nine million that will be counted in the closing of the economic balance of Barcelona in the 2018-19 season.

This figure will be added to the 24 million profit from the sale of Jasper Cillessen to Valencia , so that Barça is closer to its goal of closing the current year to June 30 with positive numbers. For this, he would need about 30 million more than he hopes to achieve with one or more transfers. There is time for it in the almost two weeks that remain.

The West Ham had also been interested in André Gomes but he wanted to stay in the club of Liverpool and London fichando ended last week at castellonense Pablo Fornals paying 27 million euros to Villarreal by means of a similar cut. The Everton had a choice not to compulsory purchase and during the season has been passed Barca interest in staying on property rights André Gomes .

Under the command of Portuguese Marco Silva , the midfielder has been a major player in Everton , where he has played 27 games in the Premier Leagu and 24 of them as a starter but has only scored a goal and has given an assist.

75.45 million fixed between André, Mina and Digne

The Luso has been reunited with himself sharing wardrobe with left-back Lucas Dign e and central Yerry Mina , who also left Barca for Goodison Park . The Everton became a major customer for Barca as they paid 20.2 million euros fixed (plus 1.5 variables) by the French and 30.25 (plus 1.5 variables) by the Colombian. Adding the 25 that will fall for André Gomes, the second club of Liverpool will have paid 75.45 million fixed to the Barça in a year.

Not sure about the sharing the wardrobe bit lol
Excellent news, but not sure about this second club of Liverpool business in the final paragraph.

Bit like David Moyes, who was the first Everton manager in 25 years to get Everton to finish above Manchester Utd.

Poor Davy, he completely turned us around and did a fantastic job before hitting a glass ceiling/stopped believing we could do a Leicester (pre Leicester)
Tarnished himself a bit at the end but he did do a lot of good during his time at the club.

Walsh on the other hand was a skidmark on the history of Everton FC

Gets a lot of unnecessary stick due to how it all ended.

Genuinely believe we’d have dropped a division or 2 without him.
