Got nothing to do with me I know but in the same way I will say something when someone is being rasist, I've got to say something when someone is being accused of being rasist when they don't seem to be.

For me he seems to be referencing the racism in Italy and how a young black person would find a black footballer in that country relatable/inspirational.

For something to be rasist it has to be referenced in a derogatory or negative manner. At the very most you could say he was being flippant But that would be about the statment on the whole not just one isolated sentence.

Agreed. Called someone an N word is rascist , black B word etc treating them differently or having a pre conceived opinion because of their race or skin is rascist. Not , saying that a young black kid frowning up in a rascist country probably picked the shirt of another black person who was playing for one of the biggest clubs in the in the country. People throw the “racist” label around far to much and it’s actually cheapens it for when it’s actually required imo.

As an Asian man living in multiracial Asian country all I can say is you lot (westerners) better pull your heads out before it's too late. We've here got mates of different races where I live and we all take digs at one another and it's all in good fun. Yes the sjw snowflakes and the agenda-driven politicos try to make it more than it really is but the vast majority of us ain't buying it and we're more the happier for it.
