Swear I read so somewhere that he’s been to goodison

An object lesson in not believing everything you read. Herr Schnickelgruber (as he was then), was said to have fled to Liverpool in 1912 and spent 3 years there evading the Austrian authorities as he was dodging military service. He was supposed to have lived with a distant relative on Upper Stanhope Street for 3 years. The only source for this is a memoir written by his sister in law in the 1930s, with nothing else to back it up. In truth, the memoir was written in Liverpool in the 1970s.

Disagree with this. He's been very productive in what has been a poor side for the past few years. I think he could shine given the opportunity and this may be it for him.
Decent finisher and hard worker, but is he really worth thirty million when he will be a backup to Vardy? I think not. But it's now the going rate for decent players from the PL. I will be more worried if they buy Tielemans.

Bloody hell, in confirming my memory of the H!tler/Liverpool hoax I chanced across an online copy of a 1990s version of the Guardians notes and queries where some meff wrote the following

It's true. My great grandfather used to own a small grocery store in Stanhope Street in 1911-1916 and he remembers serving the young H!tler many times. He used to buy drawing pencils, paper and military magazines and spoke very few words but had a distinct German accent. He told me he didn't speak much but was always happy when Liverpool FC won.
