But when you've said we're skint in previous posts in the transfer thread it's related to purchasing players (as it should in a transfer thread).

So it's a null comment really if you're acknowledging it's irrelevant.

As I said, I never said we wouldnt spend money, not once. Last summer I said the same, I said we were skint.

Moshiri gave us money and we used our credit lines.

To put it another way, we wont sign another player unless we sell some.

Where do you think the money to buy players is coming from?

We got 128m from Sky this summer, our wage bill was 142m.

It's like if I wanted to go buy a £100 shirt, I've got no money myself, but my mum is lending me £100.

I'd just say "bought this new shirt" not "I can't afford this new shirt but I also can afford this new shirt - I'm buying it".

Yeh so my simple point is... why bother saying we're skint when in the transfer thread it's quite irrelevant.

I suppose people are focusing on the word skint and taking it as a negative.

And I suppose suggesting we will spend 100m and also saying we are skint doesnt compute.

Pre-Mosh being skint meant something else, but now, not so much. Mosh has already put 250m into our bank account.

So yeah, I do get why people would question it.

We used to do sellings and not make the buyings, now we will do sellings AND buyings.

We will spend money.

Never been more relaxed heading into the final weeks of the transfer window regarding Everton. I'm 100% absolutely positively sure, we'll manage to do our business before the window slams shut and we'll look back and say, 'well that was quite an amazing summer in the transfermarket'. Brimming with confidence already for the upcoming season and we most probably haven't even done half of our business on the player front.

As @MarcelsGoat keeps saying: 'Relax, Marcel has got this'.
