I’d prefer us to just buy a better striker, there are too many teams below us that have much better forwards than what we have. We can improve the rest of the team all we like, but it won’t be good enough until we get a CF who can do what DCL does and scores more goals.

I really can't see us getting a defensive mid as good as Gana mate, and the ones better than him aren't going to come to Everton

We either get in a player in the same position who isn't as good or we rip things up and go in a different direction with it

That's how I see it anyway. There might be a good young defensive mid out there who could eventually develop into being as good a player as Gana was in that position, but that's going to take time and we really need to hit the ground running this season. Ross can play CM, is a creative output and could keep us ticking over for a season whilst we bed in the Gana replacement

I agree except the Ross Barkley part. Leave him at Chelsea we will finish above them
