Fair enough, then.

I tend to take anything that comes out of the club with a pinch of salt when it comes to transfers. It's difficult for the manager to toe the party line without discrediting himself in the eyes of the fans, like Moyes ended up doing, especially when he's facing the same questions on an almost daily basis. They're expected to be more like politicians than coaches at times.

My take is that the club have swapped Gana for Delph, leaving them with basically the same level of player + £18m, which isn't bad going. I think that they're always open to finding the next long-term replacement for any position, but aren't going to spend in the region that Spurs had to in order to get Ndombele, hence swapping one cheap placeholder for another in midfield.

The reality is, with the clauses it could be closer to a balance of £30 million as well. Which we can spend on a younger midfielder. It's pretty smart business.

He's only 28 mate

So long as his health issues are now under control then he could still give us a couple of years yet

I wouldn't spend any actual money on him, but if we could get him for free then I think it's worth considering

His versatility would be a bonus, just because he can wear a number of different hats

My favourite hat of his is the “not playing for Everton” sombrero he adorns.

What you’re saying would all make sense if we weren’t talking about a man that’s just been released by a Championship club.

Probably more down to Jones absolutely gutting the club and bringing in all his own people mate

He's just never fancied Bojan because he doesn't really think he fits the style he's going for. He'd probably suit Silva's system way better though

I'm not acting like this is a sure thing or anything, but to me I just like the idea of a lad like Bojan, who had all that promise coming from Barca, coming to Everton for one last big move and then turning it on for a couple of seasons

It's the sort of romantic and life fulfilling kind of story I like

He'll probably play for a DVD box set of "Only Fools and Horses" and a nice glass of refreshing apple Tango (Other soft drinks are available) at this stage if it got him back into the Premier League

Come on lads, it's Bojan. Where's the romanticism gone in your hearts? Has Everton stomped you down that badly?

Yes Mikey, its 28 year old Bojan, not 18 year old Bojan who had the world at his feet.

To say he never fulfilled his promise is the biggest understatement in the world.

Do we need a 3rd choice ? We onlyplay with one striker. Our 3rd choice should just be a yout player in my opinion, we also have players that could play upfront if needed.

If our two first choices were kean and DCL then I'd say we already had the youth players playing.

Welbeck is also versatile so offers cover in wider areas. Not saying I particularly want him but if he was just as an extra option then I wouldnt be that upset by him coming in
