You're in a tough spot. If Zaha is going to move, and if Palace is going to cash in, it needs to be soon and you've only got (it seems) on suitor. But does he really want to leave? And if he doesn't, can Palace build up around him and push up the table?
His brother, who is his agent, definitely wants him to leave.(Can't think why!) Wilf, I think less so. He's been away once and, largely not of his making, it didn't work. He's been with us since he was 10. It would be a big wrench for him.
You would hope so. A realistic ambition for us at the moment is top half. We need him and a couple of decent transfers in to kick on. Not holding my breath.

Seems like Palace needs to get him a new contract, pay his brother a small fee so he can go on vacation, then buy Bolassie, McCarthy, and Besic from us (we'll throw in Niasse or Tosun for free, your choice).

Sorted, when do you and I get our agents' fees?

I can’t get my head around overpaying for a Premier League player when there’s far better value found from foreign players. It just doesn’t feel like it aligns with Brands’ approach.

Regarding the question of where he will play, that doesn’t bother me as much. Even if we have places covered, I’d rather stockpile talent and let the best players win their place in the starting 11. Granted, Everton has not really been in a position to do this in modern times, so it’s an unfamiliar concept. But as long as we can also get in players in positions of need, like striker and CB, then I’m fine with it (in terms of the approach).

...I suppose the same was said when we acquired Richarlison for £40m.

Now i’m not a fan of Zaha and I have no idea if there is anything in the links, but if there is then only time will tell if it’s a good signing or not. Only time will tell if the deal is value, even if posters like me are not convinced about the player.

Ha! We get paid when Palace win the Premier League, so it's Butlins for us again this year. ( and next year, the year after, etc etc)
