Just remember everyone, no matter how bad this window can get, a couple of years ago we were linked to this feller

Considering we're getting linked with the likes of Kean, Zaha and Malcolm, this window is a definite improvement

Somebody suggested Bojan yesterday as well.

Fair enough mate. Didn’t know palace could afford it.

Teams you would not expect are now spending big on wages.

Max Meyer is apparently on up to 170k a week with bonus at palace.
Bournemouth are now paying Wilson 100k a week and even Begovic gets 70k.

Am I the only one who cant get their head around a Zaha move to here? Unless I am blind or stupid, his position is one of the few that we are fine with, and we aint shelling out that amount for a back up.

So, unless another player is already lined up to move away........dont get it.

I can’t get my head around overpaying for a Premier League player when there’s far better value found from foreign players. It just doesn’t feel like it aligns with Brands’ approach.

Regarding the question of where he will play, that doesn’t bother me as much. Even if we have places covered, I’d rather stockpile talent and let the best players win their place in the starting 11. Granted, Everton has not really been in a position to do this in modern times, so it’s an unfamiliar concept. But as long as we can also get in players in positions of need, like striker and CB, then I’m fine with it (in terms of the approach).

Almost like our owner wants to make a statement to prove we can compete with the top sides...

What Zaha does is smack one right in the eye for the likes of Arsenal when they realise Everton can not only outbid then but offer more wages it will make them realise this top 6 isn’t a closed shop
